Baseball Recap: Woodville Comes Up Short

Woodville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Head Tigers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Woodville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Jones, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. Another was Braxton Talley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Woodville's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Valley Head, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

While Woodville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
