Baseball Game Preview: Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes vs. Pewaukee Pirates

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes will challenge the Pewaukee Pirates at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Whitefish Bay 3.1, Pewaukee 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Whitefish Bay is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Slinger, who was ranked third at the time (Whitefish Bay was ranked ninth). The Blue Dukes' pitchers stepped up to hand the Owls a 6-0 shutout on Saturday. The Blue Dukes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pewaukee didn't have quite enough to beat Slinger on Friday and fell 2-1.

Pewaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Whitefish Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season.
