Preview: Chicago Mathematics & Science vs. Foreman Hornets
Chicago Mathematics & Science is 6-0 against Foreman since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Chicago Mathematics & Science's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Foreman Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Chicago Mathematics & Science: 28.7, Foreman: 29.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
Last Tuesday, Chicago Mathematics & Science came up short against Mather and fell 47-38.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ayomide Salami, who scored 14 points. That was a full 36.8% of Chicago Mathematics & Science's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sorochi Nwachukwu, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Foreman and Schurz on Monday hardly resembled the 38-6 effort from their previous meeting. Foreman fell 66-58 to Schurz. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Foreman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
Everything went Chicago Mathematics & Science's way against Foreman in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Chicago Mathematics & Science made off with a 46-21 victory. Will Chicago Mathematics & Science repeat their success, or does Foreman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
