Volleyball Recap: Vasquez Beats Trinity Classical Academy for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Vasquez had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Trinity Classical Academy Knights as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Tuesday.

Vasquez walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-20.

Diego Camacho paced Vasquez's offense, picking up 13 kills. Camacho got some help from Ethan Vazquez and his 31 assists. Vazquez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Vasquez pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-7.

Coming up, Vasquez will welcome Palmdale Academy Charter School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Trinity Classical Academy and Desert Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
