Baseball Game Preview: Folsom Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Trojans

The Folsom Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Lincoln Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Folsom is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Folsom is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since February 28, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 10-4 to Pleasant Grove.

Folsom got a good showing from Zach Neverve, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Folsom saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Schuster, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave Schuster a new career-high. Jacob Klapper also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over Pitman on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Brayden Glaser looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Brady Dobson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Dylan Patten, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pitman only posted an OBP of .300.

Lincoln's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Folsom, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
