Volleyball Recap: Morrill's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to 14

Morrill had already won 13 in a row and they went ahead and made it 14 on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hay Springs Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Tuesday.

Katelyn Walker paced Morrill's offense, picking up ten kills. Walker really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. Cheyenne Spore and Mersaydez Carrizales kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Morrill's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Hay Springs, they moved to 19-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, Morrill will challenge Gordon-Rushville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hay Springs has already played their next match (against Bridgeport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
