Recap: Bethel Wildcats vs. Crossings Christian Knights
The Bethel Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 39-26 to Crossings Christian. Bethel lost against Crossings Christian in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 35-0 score last time.
Bethel's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cale Duncan, who threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Another player making a difference was Reagan A curry, who picked up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Crossings Christian to victory were Luke Olson and Jonah Neher. Olson gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns, while Neher rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown.
Bethel has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Crossings Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Bethel will head out on the road to face off against Luther at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crossings Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Meeker at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Meeker is ranked 98th, while Crossings Christian is ranked 84th).
