Calloway County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Paducah Tilghman, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lakers fell just short of the Blue Tornado by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Lakers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hailee Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Emerson Herndon made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Calloway County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Paducah Tilghman, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
