Basketball Recap: Garinger Wildcats vs. East Mecklenburg Eagles
Garinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the East Mecklenburg Eagles an easy 70-45 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 71-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the defeat, Garinger saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aaron Lawler went 6 of 14 on his way to 26 points.
