Basketball Recap: Elmwood Has No Trouble Against Galva

Elmwood's game on Saturday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 victory over the Galva Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 15 points.

Galva's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MJ Louck, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Louck is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Blake Stahl was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Elmwood and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Galva, they moved to 7-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Elmwood will take on St. Bede in a tournament on Thursday. As for Galva, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-38 victory against Midland on the 23rd.
