Merrimack took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Exeter, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tomahawks skirted past the Blue Hawks 7-5. The win was familiar territory for the Tomahawks, who have now won four contests in a row.

Merrimack pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Exeter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season.

Merrimack wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-5 victory against Concord on the 14th. As for Exeter, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against Manchester Central on the 14th.
