It was a good run, but Memphis Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Kirby Cougars by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Beiker Leon led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Malachai Adams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Memphis Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Kirby, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Memphis Central will take on Kingsbury at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.54 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
