Volleyball Recap: East Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Sheridan + How To Watch

East faced Sheridan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Thunderbirds fell 3-1 to the Broncs. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Broncs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-20, 27-25, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Hannah Janes and Marlee Monjaras, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Charli Cameron and her 26 assists.

East's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Sheridan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Campbell County on the 13th. As for Sheridan, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Central on the 13th.
