Softball Recap: Mount Pleasant Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Mount Pleasant and North Stanly have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Tigers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-2 to the Comets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost three in a row.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for North Stanly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Mount Pleasant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Stanly, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against South Stanly on the 1st.
