Baseball Recap: Davenport Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Davenport had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 16-6 to the Lake Region Thunder on Monday. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Yomar Feliciano was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Davenport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Celebration on the 12th. As for Lake Region, they have also already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Lake Gibson on the 11th.
