Football Recap: Amador Buffaloes vs. Pierce Bears
On Friday, the Amador Buffaloes didn't have quite enough to beat the Pierce Bears and fell 24-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pierce to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Gomez, who rushed for 122 yards. Gomez's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass. Drew Burnum was another key passer, throwing for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Amador's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Amador will venture away from home to face off against Grace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pierce, they will host Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
