Baseball Game Preview: Brilliant Tigers vs. Hubbertville Lions

For the second straight game, Brilliant will face off against Hubbertville. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Brilliant Tigers duke it out with Hubbertville Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brilliant has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brilliant came up short against Hubbertville on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Tigers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

For Hubbertville's part, Landon Dodd was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Dodd has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
