Volleyball Recap: Corning Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Corning came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Orland Trojans. The Cardinals have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

While Corning was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Orland's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-17.

Brystal McClelland paced Corning's offense, picking up six kills. McClelland got some help from Alexis Jimenez and her eight assists.

Corning's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Orland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.
