Basketball Recap: Hough Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hopewell

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hough). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hopewell Titans 78-21. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Chloe Galombeck continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8-for-14 en route to 19 points along with five assists and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Kate Breault, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 10 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Hough smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JUNE WALLACE, who posted eight points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of MOLLY HOWE, who scored six points.

The victory made it two in a row for Hough and bumps their season record up to 18-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Hopewell, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hough beat Hopewell by a score of 70-31 on Monday.
