Menomonee Falls has gone a perfect 9-0 against Germantown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Phoenix will challenge the Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Menomonee Falls turned things around against Brookfield East on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Phoenix have posted since May 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Germantown). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Shorewood a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Warhawks, who have now won three games in a row.

Doug Wagner looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grady Cheever, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ian Demichiel was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Germantown hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shorewood struck out eight times.

Germantown's record is now 3-1. As for Menomonee Falls, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Menomonee Falls beat Germantown 6-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phoenix since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
