Softball Recap: Northeastern Comes Up Short

Lower Dauphin hit Northeastern with a five-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats came up short against the Falcons, falling 7-1. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Northeastern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aniyah McCane, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lower Dauphin, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Northeastern will venture away from home to square off against Shippensburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lower Dauphin, they will head out to face off against Red Land at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
