After both having extra time off, University Pathways Medical Magnet and the TEACH Tech Charter Rams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

University Pathways Medical Magnet lost 3-0 to Los Angeles Leadership Academy on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for University Pathways Medical Magnet in their meetings with Los Angeles Leadership Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

University Pathways Medical Magnet was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-22.

Meanwhile, TEACH Tech Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Alliance Health Services Academy, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Rams haven't been shut out since back in March.

While TEACH Tech Charter was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

University Pathways Medical Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for TEACH Tech Charter, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

University Pathways Medical Magnet skirted past TEACH Tech Charter 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for University Pathways Medical Magnet since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
