Softball Recap: Sparrows Point Takes a Loss

Sparrows Point managed to slip by Towson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pointers lost 13-2 to the Generals on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Pointers couldn't push the score so high this time.

This is the second loss in a row for Sparrows Point and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Towson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sparrows Point will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Western Tech & Environmental Science at 4:00 p.m. on April 13. As for Towson, they will head out to challenge Notre Dame Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
