Basketball Recap: Blue River Valley Vikings vs. Shenandoah Raiders
Blue River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-37 defeat at the hands of the Shenandoah Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-37 back in November of 2024.
Shenandoah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Coffey led the charge by going 5 for 9 on his way to 16 points. The matchup was Coffey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Garrett May was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points.
Blue River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Shenandoah, their record is now 8-2.
Blue River Valley will face off against Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shenandoah, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-40 defeat against Tri on the 11th.
