Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Comes Up Short

Valley Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Bay Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Monday.

Valley Forge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Kalinowski, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Sean Frank also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Valley Forge's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bay, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Coming up, Valley Forge will square off against North Olmsted at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bay, they will face off against Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Demons have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
