Baseball Recap: Hancock Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Hancock and Oak Forest squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Hancock had to settle for second. They fell 6-1 to the Bengals. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Ryan Ostrowski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Hancock's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 6-2 (and 8-16 when he doesn't).

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Oak Forest, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-13-1.

As of now, neither Hancock nor the Bengals have any future games scheduled.
