Heritage Christian dropped their record down to 7-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Francis Mariners. Surprisingly, this marked the Patriots' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

M. Geibl put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of Heritage Christian's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Geibl was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Geibl wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was F. Siebert, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Z. Stubbs was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
As for St. Francis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games.
Like Heritage Christian, St. Francis also got a great game from a two-way player: Kingston Liddell. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Liddell has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Noah Heitman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Gutierrez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
While Heritage Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
