Soccer Game Preview: Wayne Christian Academy vs. CES Academy

The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wayne Christian Academy has three straight victories, CES Academy has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Wayne Christian Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Victory Christian Academy, who was ranked 13th in their home state at the time (Wayne Christian Academy was ranked 16th). The Eagle's defense stepped up to hand the Soldiers a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for CES Academy's offense. They lost 6-0 to Victory Christian Academy on Monday. That's two games in a row now that CES Academy have lost by exactly six goals.

Wayne Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for CES Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
