Volleyball Recap: Cocke County Takes a Loss

Cocke County was the 3-1 winner over Pigeon Forge when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Cocks fell 3-1 to the Tigers on Monday. The Fighting Cocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-6, 25-17.

Hailee Hartsell paced Cocke County's offense, picking up six kills. Hartsell got some help from Kate Kickliter and her ten assists. Kickliter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Cocke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Pigeon Forge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Cocke County is taking a road trip to square off against Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pigeon Forge, they will venture away from home to face off against Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
