Volleyball Recap: Cactus Shadows Takes Down Prescott in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Cactus Shadows had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Prescott Badgers on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on five straight.

Cactus Shadows was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.

Cactus Shadows had a senior duo take command as Gabby Procopio had 19 digs and two aces and Mateja Cousins had two aces and one block. Cousins is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

Cactus Shadows was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

Cactus Shadows' victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Prescott, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-17.

Looking ahead, Cactus Shadows will head out on the road to take on Salpointe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Prescott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
