League recap: Fleming extends winning streak with victory over Otis

A-6 North (6 Man) recap Oct. 3, 2012

Fleming extended the longest winning streak in A-6 North (6 Man) this week by beating Otis, 50-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Fleming took down the Bulldogs 50-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tanner Serrato threw for 138 yards and one touchdown in the win.

Nathan Krise was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 215 yards as Briggsdale bested Otis. Tyler Axelson also contributed to the rushing game with 22 yards on the ground.

Price was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats beat Ryan Collier's team. Price racked up two receptions for 74 yards. Caleb Knowles helped Fleming's passing attack out by catching two balls for 52 yards.

Ross Stump put up the best numbers through the air as Prairie topped North Park. He finished with a total of five completions for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Stump's favorite target this week was Tyler Carmin, who caught three passes for 59 yards.

Dillon Schutter made the biggest impact on defense this week as Weldon Valley fell to Pawnee. The junior grabbed one interception.

Herman Flores provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Warriors lost to the Coyotes. He completed five passes for 25 yards and also ran for 208 yards. Flores' favorite target this week was Delbert McCracken, who caught four passes for 26 yards.

The Falcons' Jake Lukas-Gorman and Austin Launer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A-6 North (6 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Lukas-Gorman has thrown for 749 yards this season, while Launer, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 21 catches for 302 yards. Fleming's Trevor Chintala leads the league in rushing yards with 1046.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Pawnee and the Mustangs. Doug Miller's team comes into the matchup ranked 24th in the state, while Prairie ranks 17th.

Dustin Warboys of the Glenn Carlson's team is only 85 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 89 carries Warboys has accumulated 915 yard this year.

The Mustangs led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Wildcats. Warboys ran for 168 yards and caught one passes for 10 yards in the win.
