Basketball Recap: Fullerton Falls Despite Big Games from Braxton Wink and Jadon Reed

Fullerton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Poly Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Fullerton's loss came despite strong showings from Jadon Reed and Braxton Wink. Reed posted 16 points and six boards, while Wink put up 14 points. Wink is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Emmanuel Herrejon also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Poly, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Fullerton has already played their next matchup, a 50-44 loss against Trabuco Hills on the 22nd. As for Poly, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-42 defeat against Villa Park on the 22nd.
