Walsh and Granada are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. The timing isn't great for Walsh: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Granada has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.

On Friday, Walsh lost to Springfield on the road by a 63-48 margin.

Despite the defeat, Walsh saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hudson Gourley posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Malone, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Granada was able to grind out a solid victory over Eads on Friday, taking the game 52-44. The Bobcats pushed the score to 40-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Granada's win came from a few key players Walsh will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maddox Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Granada's points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Pizarro, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Granada has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Walsh, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
