East Burke came tearing into Monday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the West Lincoln Rebels 80-15. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Rebels are ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Burke was led to victory by Braelyn Stilwell and Kara Brinkley. Stilwell on her way to 28 points and seven steals, while Brinkley to rack up 21 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The game was Stilwell's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Maci McNeil was another key player, putting up 12 points.

East Burke smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

East Burke pushed their record up to 24-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for West Lincoln, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.

East Burke wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-38 win against Bandys on the 18th. West Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
