Softball Recap: Monterey Toreadors vs. Hollister Haybalers

Monterey lost to Hollister back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Toreadors fell just short of the Haybalers by a score of 3-2.

Monterey saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryanna Elliott, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Hollister, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Monterey will head out to challenge Watsonville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Toreadors are facing the Wildcatz at the right time seeing as the Wildcatz are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hollister, they will venture away from home to take on Pacific Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
