Puyallup was the 70-44 winner over Emerald Ridge when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Puyallup Vikings took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emerald Ridge Jaguars on Friday. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Puyallup's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Emerald Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Puyallup and Emerald Ridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Puyallup will take on Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 91 places (21 vs. 112). Similarly, Emerald Ridge (ranked 63rd) will meet South Kitsap (ranked 217th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
