Softball Recap: Winnebago Lutheran Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winnebago Lutheran Academy took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Lomira, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand the Lions a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three contests in a row.

Not much got past Addysin Peterson, who gave up just six hits to keep Lomira off the board. Peterson has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-7. As for Lomira, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Winnebago Lutheran Academy will square off against rival North Fond du Lac at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lomira is set to take on their familiar foe Laconia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 1.5, the Spartans 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
