Pelahatchie put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They made easy work of Morton and carried off a 42-14 win. No one put up better numbers for Pelahatchie than senior Javeious Purvis, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, with ten tackles Purvis was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Catholic received a tough blow as they fell 17-34 to Union. This makes it the second loss in a row for St. Joseph Catholic.
Pelahatchie's victory lifted them to 5-1 while St. Joseph Catholic's defeat dropped them down to 3-3. We'll see if Pelahatchie's success rolls on or if St. Joseph Catholic are able to steal their positive momentum.
