Basketball Recap: Joey Galvan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kern Valley over Desert

Kern Valley lost against Desert back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kern Valley Broncs fell to the Desert Scorpions 62-57. The Broncs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Broncs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joey Galvan, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Galvan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Parks, who put up nine points and five assists.

Kern Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Desert, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Kern Valley will welcome Frazier Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Union will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Desert surely won't give up without a fight.
