Baseball Recap: Macomb Extends Winning Streak to Three

Macomb won the last time they faced West Prairie and things went their way on Monday too. The Bombers came out on top against the Cyclones by a score of 5-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Bombers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Nick Elbe was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Watson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Macomb's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for West Prairie, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Macomb will face off against Brimfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for West Prairie, they will take on Biggsville West Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
