Mater Dei came tearing into Saturday's match with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Marymount Sailors by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Monarchs: when they faced off against the Sailors last Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Mater Dei easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15.

Layli Ostovar paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up six kills. Ostovar got some help from Sam Capinpin and her seven assists. Lizzy Robinson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Marymount, they moved to 31-3 with that defeat, which also ended their 14-match winning streak.

Mater Dei didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Santa Margarita on the 30th. As for Marymount, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Sierra Canyon on the 29th.
