Baseball Recap: Southern Huntingdon County Comes Up Short

Southern Huntingdon County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shalom Christian Academy Flames.

Nicholas Parson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bronson Hoffman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Southern Huntingdon County's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Shalom Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Huntingdon County will host Southern Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Everett at 2:45 p.m.
