Flag Football Recap: Vista Ridge Comes Up Short Despite Isabella Watters' Big Defensive Game

The Vista Ridge Wolves were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 13-7 to the Palmer Terrors.

Even if they lost, Vista Ridge's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Isabella Watters was especially locked on to Palmer's QB and sacked her three times.

A big part of Palmer's victory came down to the chemistry between Noa Harrison and her top target Kaylee Flanigan. Harrison rushed for 69 yards and two scores while Flanigan picked up 98 receiving yards. Harrison also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending two passes.

Vista Ridge's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5. As for Palmer, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Vista Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-0 victory against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 19th. As for Palmer, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-6 win against The Vanguard School on the 18th.
