Volleyball Recap: Poughkeepsie Gets the Win

Poughkeepsie won the last time they faced Gorton and things went their way on Monday too. The Pioneers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolves.

Poughkeepsie was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-19, 21-25, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Gorton had strong showings from Emma Ramirez, who had 16 digs and four aces, and Katie Rojas, who had 11 digs, six kills, and three aces. Rojas has been hot for a while, having posted three or more aces the last nine times she's played. Lila Soto was another key player, getting four aces and one assist.
