Basketball Game Preview: Hagerman Bobcats vs. Texico Wolverines

The Hagerman Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Texico Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Hagerman was fully in charge, breezing past Tatum 68-37. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Texico suffered their closest loss since March 13, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Logan by a score of 75-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Wolverines still had to take the loss.

Hagerman has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Texico, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-2.

Hagerman might still be hurting after the 73-48 loss they got from Texico in their previous meeting back in January. Can Hagerman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
