Basketball Recap: Yavneh Academy Skates Past Dallas International with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Yavneh Academy on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Dallas International out of the water with an 80-23 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Yavneh Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Fink, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Fink has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonah Hochschuler, who had eight points and four steals.

Yavneh Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Yavneh Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Dallas International, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Yavneh Academy will welcome Wylie Prep Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Yavneh Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Wylie Prep Academy likes a good challenge. Dallas International does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
