Basketball Game Preview: Pilot Grove Tigers vs. Stover Bulldogs

After both having extra time off, the Pilot Grove Tigers and the Stover Bulldogs will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Pilot Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 70-55 win over Sturgeon two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Stover had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 57-41 victory over St. Paul Lutheran two weeks ago.

Pilot Grove pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Stover, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
