Basketball Game Preview: Palmer Trinity Falcons vs. Ransom Everglades Raiders

Palmer Trinity and Ransom Everglades are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Palmer Trinity Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Ransom Everglades Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Palmer Trinity didn't have too much trouble with Immaculata-La Salle as they won 72-53. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Royal Lions are ranked 518th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palmer Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bailey Estep, who went 10 of 14 en route to 22 points. Graham Yanowitch was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ransom Everglades, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They strolled past Marathon with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 58-39.

Palmer Trinity pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points per game. As for Ransom Everglades, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Everything went Palmer Trinity's way against Ransom Everglades in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Palmer Trinity made off with a 76-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palmer Trinity since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
