Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Geronimo Sanchez stepped things up a notch to give Cape Fear the 'W'. Sanchez threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 106 yards. The effort marked the most passing yards he has had since back in October of 2024.

Sanchez and Cape Fear will welcome Pine Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Trojans thanks in part to Sanchez: he threw for 81 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground.
