Volleyball Recap: Okemos Comes Up Short

Okemos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grand Ledge Comets.

Erik Howe paced Okemos' offense, picking up ten kills. Howe got some help from Gavin Freidhoff and his 15 assists. Howe was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Okemos' defeat dropped their record down to 10-10-2.

Coming up, Okemos will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Ledge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Holland on the 27th.
